An Enology Wine Class

A Taste of Africa

Join us for an exclusive, guided exploration of South Africa’s storied vineyards. Often called the "Old World of the New World," South African winemaking boasts a rich 360-year history—dating back to the first vintage in 1659. In this intimate class, we will traverse the unique geography of the Western Cape, from the rugged Atlantic coast to the granite slopes of the Stellenbosch mountains.

The Experience

  • Boutique Selection: Discover 6 exceptional wines from small-batch, boutique producers.

  • Varietal Spotlight: Learn the secrets behind South Africa’s signature grapes: the versatile Chenin Blanc (locally known as Steen) and the bold, indigenous Pinotage.

  • History & Terroir: Dive into the 360-year timeline and the diverse microclimates that make this the most dynamic wine region in the world today.

  • Artisanal Pairing: Each pour is accompanied by a curated selection of artisanal cheeses designed to elevate the tasting profile.
