Inside Our Wine Classes at Enology

Guests at a guided wine class at Enology Wine Bar and Bistro

You do not need to know a thing about wine to leave a class knowing more.

Wine education at Enology is meant to feel like a good dinner with a knowledgeable friend, not a lecture. Our classes gather a small group around the table, pour a thoughtful flight, and let curiosity lead. Here is what a session looks like.

An Easy Way In

The point of a class is to make wine less intimidating, not more. There is no quiz and no wrong question. Our sommelier, Guenther, leads each session with the kind of warmth that makes a first-timer and a seasoned taster equally at home.

What a Class Looks Like

You settle in with a flight in front of you, a little to eat, and a story for each pour. We talk through what you are smelling and tasting, why a wine behaves the way it does, and how region and grape shape the glass. See what is on the calendar on our wine classes page.

The Saturday Cabernet Session

Some classes go deep on a single grape. Our Saturday Afternoon with Cabernet spends an hour and a half inside one of the world’s great varietals, tracing how the same grape changes from one place to the next. You leave able to taste the difference, not just read about it.

Leave with a Framework

The goal is not to memorize labels. It is to walk out with a way of tasting that travels with you, to the next restaurant, the next wine shop, the next bottle at home. A class unlocks a region or a grape, and suddenly the whole list opens up.

Save Your Seat

Seats are limited by design, so the group stays small and the conversation stays personal. See what is coming up on our events page, then reserve your spot and pull up a chair.

From the Page to the Glass

Reading about it is one thing. Reserve a table and taste it for yourself.
