Smithtown has plenty of places for a big night. This is the other thing: a room five minutes from home where two people can take a seat at the bar, split a plate, drink something they have not had before, and be home at a reasonable hour. How far is Enology from Smithtown?
About five minutes. We are at 412 N Country Road in Saint James, roughly two and a half miles east of Smithtown along 25A.
Can we walk in, or do we need to book?
The bar is first come, first served and always worth trying. For a table, especially Friday and Saturday, book ahead. Reservations run an hour and a half.
What nights are you open?
Tuesday through Thursday from 5 to 9, Friday and Saturday from 5 to 10. We are closed Sunday and Monday.
Is there a happy hour?
Yes, Tuesday through Thursday from 5 to 7, at bar seats only. Ten-dollar glasses of wine, twelve-dollar cocktails, seven-dollar beers and three dollars off select plates.
