It would be strange not to pour it. McCall out of Cutchogue, Paumanok, Garzon and the rest sit on our list beside Bourgogne, Chianti and Rioja, which is the comparison worth making and the one most lists avoid. How long is the drive from Setauket?
About fifteen minutes. We are at 412 N Country Road in Saint James, roughly seven miles west along 25A through Stony Brook.
Do you pour Long Island wines?
Yes, and not as an afterthought. North Fork growers sit on the list beside old-world estates, by the bottle, the glass and the half glass.
Do we need a reservation?
For a table, particularly Friday or Saturday, yes. Tables run an hour and a half. Bar seats are first come, first served.
What are your hours?
Tuesday through Thursday, 5 to 9. Friday and Saturday, 5 to 10. Closed Sunday and Monday.
Can you host a group from the Three Village area?
Yes. For six or more we work from three private event packages, priced per person, and we will help shape the evening around them.
