Summer Nights at Enology: Your July Lineup

A summery sour cocktail at the bar at Enology Wine Bar & Bistro

Long Island summers are made of long evenings, and long evenings are what this room was built for. July at Enology is the fullest month of our year so far, so consider this your seasonal map: what is on, when to come, and how the regulars play it.

Live Music, All Month

The summer soundtrack is live and local. July brings a steady run of early-evening sets from Long Island artists, unhurried music at conversation volume, typically starting between 5:30 and 6:30 and winding down by 8:30. The formula does not change because it does not need to: a warm room, a good pour, and a set worth lingering for.

Music nights fill earlier than most, so check the live music page and reserve ahead.

Happy Hour: The Summer On-Ramp

Tuesday through Thursday, 5 to 7 p.m., Happy Hour turns the early evening into the smartest seat in Saint James, at the bar seats only: $3 off select plates and shares, $7 beers, $10 select glasses of wine, and $12 cocktails from a rotating short list. In July, when the evening light stretches past eight, starting at five feels less like happy hour and more like getting away with something.

Wine Classes for the Curious

Summer is an ideal season to learn what your palate has been trying to tell you. Our wine tasting classes run as guided evenings built around six themed wines, from sparklers around the world to a single grape tasted across continents. Seats are limited and they go quickly. Bring a friend or come solo; the table makes friends fast.

The Summer Menu Is On the Pass

The season is not just on the calendar, it is on the plate. Chef Albert’s Summer 2026 menu turns the kitchen toward the warm months: tuna tartare, market aguachile, a watermelon plate built for July, crab cake, beer battered fish tacos, and charred shrimp straight off the fire. The mango passionfruit sorbet closes an evening the way summer intended. See the full menu for what is on the pass right now.

Trivia and the Rest

Rally a team for trivia night, pour a glass, and play for bragging rights. And keep an eye on the full events calendar, because summer has a way of adding occasions: special tastings, seasonal pours, and evenings we only announce to people paying attention.

The Summer Strategy

Here is how the regulars do July: a Happy Hour start at the bar, a table through the music, and at least one class on the calendar before Labor Day. The season is short. The cellar is deep. Reserve your table and spend the good evenings somewhere worthy of them.
