Service was incredible. Everyone was so kind, attentive, and very knowledgeable. Every dish was excellent, truly no notes. I had the Nirvana Blush cocktail and that was also delightful. The atmosphere is simultaneously cozy and sophisticated, making for a great date night spot. My group had the olives, fish tacos, octopus, crab cakes, whipped ricotta, tuna tartare, and one of each dessert, and every single one of them was spectacular. I am just out here visiting family but even on this trip I plan to come back at least once more. I live in Arizona and the fish tacos were genuinely some of the best I have ever had. Also their music taste is wonderful.

We had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, and every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Delicious! The wine and cocktail selections were thoughtfully chosen and elevated an already outstanding dining experience. You can tell the owner and team take great pride in every detail.

If you love wine, this is the spot on the North Shore. The Cellar List is huge but the team makes it easy, and they actually listen to what you like before recommending something. We did a few small plates and the beef tartare was a standout. Great pace, no rush, just a really nice evening out in Saint James.

Had brunch here with the family on Sunday. There was live music (quite good too!), delicious food, and excellent service. Shout out to Samantha and Jimmy! We will be back for their dinner menu!

Absolutely loved this restaurant. The atmosphere was elegant and versatile — perfect for a girls night, date night, or even a family dinner. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. The food was amazing. The jerk chicken had the perfect amount of spice, and the meat was so tender and flavorful. The lamb was definitely my favorite — cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The steak was really good too. Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully prepared. I’ll definitely be back!

This wine bar is a great find. The service is excellent—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The food is delicious and well-priced, making it a great value for a night out. Jimmy, the owner, is especially kind and makes you feel right at home, which really adds to the overall experience. Susie, Samantha, and Gunther were helpful and kind. It does get a bit noisy. Overall, a fantastic spot for good wine, great food, and warm hospitality. We will definitely be back! Update: We returned a week later and the experience was just as good. They have new Spring menu and the food is delicious. Already have reservations for later this month.

BRAVO!!!! We went to Enology for the first time on Friday and everything was absolutely incredible! First and foremost the staff are all wonderful! The hostess (blonde girl) was so kind and welcoming. Our server Sebastian was awesome and so accommodating and kind. The drinks, the food EVERYTHING was 100%! We ordered the wings, octopus, steak, fries, salad whipped ricotta and I couldn’t pick a favorite if you made me, everything was so delicious. Jimmy we wish you and your team the best of luck and are so happy we live around the block! We will be back quite often!!! Thank you for an amazing experience and opening a beautiful space for Saint James!!!

Beautiful spot !!! The wine list is very well curated. Bartender seemd a little frazzled and not knowledgeable enough about the wines by the glass. The little carafe pouring is not classy for a place like that.I get the portion control but there can be other ways to do. Server introducing herself and saying "i will be taking care of you tonight is not needed in. a classy place like that (especially if you're the only one serving). Presentation of the dips can be better.Overall, a great spot and i am sure in time they will only get better!!!! Prices should be higher.

Had a great date night at enology last night! Got a spot at the bar when they first opened and the bartenders were so friendly. The sommelier picked out great wines for us to try and the food was incredible!! Atmosphere is perfect for date night or girls night out. Owner is super friendly as well! Lovely to meet him. Don’t skip on the chocolate chip cookie for dessert

All the plates, drinks, and desserts were delicious. I would highly recommend the short rib flatbread. To top it all off, the owner / manager came up to us and asked various meaningful questions regarding our experience. Great service, dining, and atmosphere. Will be back.

Ok so I give lots of reviews for lots of places. It can be difficult to do 5 stars across the board but this one I am happy to do. Ill start with the wine. I am not a guy who prefer merlots and cabernet savigions I like the off varietals. Here the owner Jim recommend a fantastic cabernet franc, we had an outstanding Champalou Vouvray, (Chenin Blanc) Syrahs Zinfindels ugh so good. The food, the short rib flatbread, sooo good, gambas shrimp, the whipped ricotta unbelievable. And then on top of that, the great service and atmosphere, they were running a comedy show with an... amazing, hysterical line up. I mean each one was better than the next. To say ill be back isnt enough, ill likely be the guy they have to force to leave at the end of the night. NO BS, we had an outstanding time tonight. Outstanding!

First time coming here and it exceeded expectations. The food was fantastic. The whipped ricotta was delicious and the arancini was my favorite dish. Great wine selection. Very friendly staff. Definitely coming back.

This place is amazing. The food was great, the service was attentive but not pushy. Food came out fast and the perfect temperature. We ordered a ton and loved it all. Octopus, cookie, and dips were stand outs. Great wine recommendation too! The atmosphere is dark and moody - perfect date night.

We had a fabulous time at enology. We went to celebrate an engagement originally thinking we would only get drinks however they were very knowledgeable about how to make options on their menu vegan. They celebrated with us for our engagement! They made it a very personal experience. We are from NH and it will be a stop we go to every time we go to LI. The owner even stopped by to check on us. A must visit in our minds!

Our first visit to this wonderful addition to the Smithtown / St James area, atmosphere is fantastic, great vibe , food , wine and wait staff !! Really enjoyed the hospitality and looking forward to many more visits. Congrats to our Dr. K for knocking it out of the park !!

This is an upscale experience without the pretense. Cozy , warm, friendly. The food is familiar( ribs, burger, steak) yet unexpected in flavor combinations! In the best possible way. The steak is served with French fries! Who doesn’t want French fries with their meal!?! The wait staff is super knowledgeable about the wines served and happy to help you pick the perfect one! Super helpful for someone like me who isn’t knowledgeable about wine! It’s elegant in execution yet friendly and comfortable. It’s where you want to go to spend an evening catching up with friends or enjoying time with family. It’s an entire experience not to be missed.

The food is seriously good - everything we had tasted amazing. Highly recommend trying the octopus, it’s super tender and tomato jam is absolutely outstanding. Besides that, great atmosphere, relaxed vibe, and a solid wine list. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

We've been excited to try Enology since they announced their opening. We made a reservation to be safe for a Friday evening and did not feel rushed at all. The atmosphere was elegant and welcoming. It only got a little loud by the end of the night, but not so much that we couldn't hear each other. The service was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and present without interrupting. Our waitress Lay was very helpful and even offered to pair our selected tapas with recommended wine tastings when we told her we weren't sure what to order. Definitely trust her to guide your meal! The owner also stopped by a few times to check in and make sure we were happy with everything, and the kitchen staff bringing our the meals were happy and friendly. Food: the group of us tried basically half the menu and every item was delicious. The bread with olive oil, brown sugar butter, and garlic butter was fresh and warm. The Caesar salad was just enough to split and had a unique flavor and texture. The whipped ricotta with honey was a must have! The eggplant dish was unique and had both crispy and savory pieces. The arancini in vodka sauce had a hint of spice and a nice outer crisp. The garlic shrimp was another must have! We kept the leftover oil and ordered extra bread to dip until the plate was clean. Next we had the octopus which had roasted potatoes and a delicious, sweet sauce. The cauliflower entree was an entire head and had a nice sauce to dip. The chicken katsu was perfectly crispy and the sauces were delicious. The flatbread was delicious, too. Even the side of fries which looked plain had a garlicky flavor to them and were great for dipping in the leftover garlic shrimp oil. The desserts tasted even better than they looked on the menu! Every item's presentation was thoughtful and obviously made with love. Drinks: we tried a few specialty cocktails and none disappointed. All of the wine tastings our server Lay suggested paired beautifully with the food, and the pairings made me appreciate the differences in the wine more. She even labeled the tastings by name and food pairing so we could enjoy without thinking. We will definitely be back and recommend this place to our friends and family!

Such a great night with girlfriends. This is what our town needs!! Such a friendly environment. The owner came over to the table, more than once to make sure that we were all happy. The food was delicious. We just ordered some tapas plates, but you can also order a meal. Drinks were good. Wine was delicious. This place is a win-win!!! Can’t wait to go back

What a great gem! We made a reservation at Enology looking for a great time and it sure did deliver. The servers were attentive and we were always checked on by the owner, Jimmy, and his great team. If you’re not sure what wine to have, the amazing team will guide you in the right direction and deliver an amazing pairing to the menu. All the food was fresh, innovative and delicious. Highly recommend!

WOW! Did I just step into a wine bar in Manhattan? Gorgeous atmosphere great cocktails and the menu is very diverse. There’s something for everyone and everything we tried was delicious. Will be going back, not soon enough though, waiting for the grand opening!
