Your Guide to Fall Wine Classes in Saint James

A sommelier guiding guests through a wine tasting class at Enology Wine Bar & Bistro

If there is one thing Enology was built to do, it is turn curiosity about wine into confidence. Our tasting classes are the clearest expression of that: six themed wines, a guided evening, a small room, and zero pretension. This fall we have three of them on the calendar, and each one stands on its own.

Here is the full lineup, and why you might want a seat at each.

Saturday, August 22: A Saturday Afternoon with Summer Wines

We are sending summer off in style. This class is a tour of the wines that define the warm months, from crisp whites and bright rosés to light, chillable reds. Our sommeliers hand-pick the flight, and part of the fun is discovering why each one belongs in the season: the diversity of grape varietals, the regions that shaped them, and the stories behind the glass.

It is the most approachable class of the season, and a perfect first one if you have never done a guided tasting before. See the details and reserve while seats remain.

Saturday, September 19: A Saturday Afternoon with Pinot Noir

One grape, many homes. Pinot Noir is famous for its food-pairing versatility, its elegant fruit, and its complex aromas, and it tastes remarkably different depending on where it is grown. We will move from Burgundy to the Willamette Valley and a few surprise regions in between, so you can taste the same grape speak in different accents. Accessible yet deep, it is the class for anyone who wants to understand why Pinot inspires such devotion. Save the date.

Saturday, October 17: A Saturday Afternoon with Bordeaux

Bordeaux taught the world how to blend. This class explores the iconic region that turned an agricultural gamble into an art form: Left Bank, Right Bank, different soils, different grapes, and how they express themselves in the glass. If you have ever wanted to finally understand what “Bordeaux blend” means, this is where it clicks. Learn more.

What Every Class Has in Common

The format never changes, because it works. Six wines, poured and guided by our team. A theme that gives the evening a spine. A room kept intentionally small, so every question gets answered, including the ones that start with “this might be a dumb question.” It never is.

Seats are limited and they fill, so dates are announced to our list first. Join the list from any class page above, or browse the full events calendar to see what else is on. And if you would rather taste before you commit, reserve a table any evening and let our team pour you something new.

Fall is the best season to fall for wine. We saved you a seat.
